Map caplocks key into control/ctrl key

setxkbmap -option caps:ctrl_modifier

To reset

setxkbmap -option

By default, Gnome reset this option when startup. To change this default behavior

gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.keyboard active false
